My name is Kathryn Crabb. I’m a psychotherapist in Tacoma, Washington trained in depth-oriented talk therapy as well as in EMDR, which is a special protocol for accelerating relief from trauma and other things that keep us limited and stuck.

In face-to-face sessions with adults, I facilitate healing and transformation through gentle but honest work with emotions, behaviors, dreams, imagery, memory, story, presence, and hope. The work is steeped in compassion, creativity, and respect for your whole self.

What I Believe

I believe our inner lives are vast. But we tend to get stuck in one corner of them – by abuse or neglect or trauma or just something that went off the rails – and we forget that the space inside us is huge.

We can stay trapped in that corner, or we can call for help: help remembering how to see, how to breathe, how to explore and enjoy and marvel and make of our lives the wonder and depth and connection that is our birthright.

Conversation, imagination, dreams, body, art and even frustrating symptoms and persistent patterns can point the way out of the dark corner toward your unique path to healing. We can find it, and walk it, together.

In the depth of winter I finally
learned that there was in me
an invincible summer.

The first step toward starting therapy with me is to schedule a phone screening to make sure we're a good fit. If we are, then on the phone we'll schedule our first face-to-face meeting to take place at my office in Tacoma, Washington; thereafter all meetings will be in person. If we're not a good fit, I'll provide you referrals and resources so you can connect with the right therapist for you.

Click here to schedule a phone screening today. (You are also welcome to call me at (253) 973-2218 but it's usually quicker to connect with me if you start by submitting your message at the link above.) Or, if you're not quite ready to connect, read further to find out more before scheduling.

I look forward to connecting with you!
